The Robots are coming . . .
No, they are already here! We rely on them to produce our cars, package our food, and speed our deliveries from the web to our home. Shouldn’t we provide our students with a window into this complex world?
With this year’s Paddle Raiser you can help your child to experience the world of robotics. Robotics supports S.T.E.M. principles and supports the concepts learned in your child’s Science, Technology, and Math classes. Robotics also allows the student to experience the Engineering Design process.
The intrinsic excitement that comes from building with LEGO bricks is now taken a step further in a highly engaging process where the bricks “come alive” via the programming your child creates. LEGO has created a series of products that begins building a process in the primary grades, develops in the intermediate, and increases it complexity in the middle school.
This year’s Paddle Raiser would like to provide the funding for WeDo Robotics/STEM at the elementary level and the EV3 Mindstorms Kits at the middle level students in our building.
For a grand total of $37,000 we would have the funding to provide the hardware and software necessary for students at all grade levels to engage in ROBOTICS!
